On Saturday 19th September our two Men's home matches had to be played at ASV because Countesswells was closed for the Founder's Day holiday weekend in memory of Robert Gordon's philanthropy. Our Ladies 1s were also away from home but in Dundee for their last warm up game ahead of the Women's Premiership starting next Saturday 26th.

MEN'S 1s 6 v PERTHSHIRE 1 (National League)
Captain Charlie Hardie must have been delighted with the strong start his squad made to this game and the NL season. A series of attacks resulted in Robbie Wallis scoring a well taken penalty corner ( see video). Perthshire then grew into the game and scored on the break. Half time 1-1. Gordonians then dominated the second half which included a goal on his debut for Sef Huyskens, a second corner goal for Robbie Wallis, goals by Scott Thomson and Adam Walker, and a penalty flick goal by Owen Wright. Owen was one of the four schoolboys in our squad.

MEN's 2s 5 v MORAY 2 ( North District League)
Stefan Jachnik was also delighted to start his team's season and his captaincy with a victory and multiple scorers. Last season's District Champions started the defence of their title with goals from Ian Coffey (2), Craig Beattie (2), and Adam Christie.

DUNDEE WANDERERS LADIES 0 v GORDONIANS LADIES 5 (Friendly)
Coach Richard Freeland was very pleased with a "really positive performance" in Dundee in their last pre-season friendly. Our Ladies 1s goals were scored by Emma Christie (2), Isla Clark, Laura Graham, and Sophie Davies Macleod.

Our Ladies 1s will play their first match of their return to the Premiership next Saturday 26th September at Countesswells vs Grange Ladies from Edinburgh. Members and supporters of the club are encouraged to be there to provide support to our Premiership squad.
