Granite City Wanderers invited and hosted Gordonians at Rubislaw tonight for some 8-a-side games on a half pitch. There were two teams from each club and since we had an equal number of boys and girls our players asked to play as a boys team and a girls team. Each team had 2 games of 20 minutes against the other club's teams.

Both clubs wanted to give games to players who are not involved in U-15 North District squads. Due to 2 call offs for illness and 2 no shows !!! our teams only had 6 players instead of 8, but despite that extra workload our players enjoyed their games and we managed to win 2 of the 4 games.

Our thanks go to our Gold Head Coach, Mark Palmer, who coached the girls team, and to one of our Gold D.O.E. volunteers, Max Steele, who coached the boys team.

Gordonians will host GCW at Countesswells for another series of U-14 games in May or June.
