Sunday mornings 24th and 31st May have seen the last of this season's District Festivals. Clubs take turns at organising them for each month of the season. They are mainly at Aberdeen Sports Village or Inverurie as directed by North District, but these two were organised by BAMBC at Cults Academy.
We have had enough players to enter at least 2 squads of 8 players in the U12 festivals, and at least 1 squad of 6 players in the U10 festivals throughout the season. U12s play 6-a-side games on a 1/4 pitch and U10s play 4-a-side games on a 1/8 pitch.
These Festivals play a part in helping to develop our players' passing, tackling, and spacial awareness. We have seen an improvement in confidence and ability since the start of the season at coaching and in these games.
None of this would be possible without the support on Sunday mornings of our coaches to coach and umpire, and our players' parents to provide transport and encouragement pitch-side. So a big thank you to all the parents involved and to the following coaches: Richard Freeland, Mike Wilkinson, Craig Beattie, Kirsten Laws, Sophia Jones, Craig Dickson, George Jones, and Peter Fish.
