Merlins Gordonians 2s spent Mothers Day Sunday 15 March travelling up to Inverness to play against Highland 2s, however in contrast to their earlier meeting in the season our Ladies were missing several key players. The game was closely contested right from the get go but in the first quarter Arabella Winn opened the scoring with a drag flick from a PC.

There were several other opportunities which were narrowly missed in the second quarter, but with increased physicality and pressure Highland broke back with an equaliser just before half time.

Our team continued to dominate but unfortunately that didn’t convert into goals. The draw means our Ladies 2s are still top of the North District Division 1 by 8 points and with a game in hand. Well played all !
