Having served our club so well as Ladies 1st team keeper in both the Premiership and the National League, and as a very enthusiastic volunteer in our Youth Coaching programme, Morven moved to Glasgow for university in 2025. She joined Azets Clydesdale Western, one of the top Ladies teams in Scotland, and has been sharing pitch time throughout the 2025/26 season with their more experienced goalkeepers.

What a great season it has been for Morven. All in the space of one week her team won the Scottish Cup by 6-2 in the final vs Western Wildcats (26 April) and then they won the Premiership championship by 2-1 vs Watsonians (03 May).

Morven was on the bench for both finals, however she kept goal in the 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final win over GHK, and also in the 4-0 Grand Final semi-final win over Edinburgh University. Two very important matches, with Morven and her defence achieving shut-outs in both.

In the Grand Final, Azets Clydesdale Western defeated Watsonians by 2-1. As a result, Morven and her squad are the highest ranked of the two Scottish clubs to represent Scotland in the 2026/27 European Hockey League. Morven might even become the first former member of Gordonians H.C. to play in the EHL since it was formed.

Morven has just returned from playing, and again lifting a trophy, with her club in Turkiye (21-24 May). They represented Scotland to win the EuroHockey Club Trophy II with Morven keeping goal in the 1st and 3rd quarters of every match !

Azets Clydesdale Western won all their matches:
6-1 vs Gaziantep Polisgucu (Turkiye)
9-1 vs Olten (Switzerland)
11-0 vs Cardiff & Met. (Wales)
Final : 3-0 vs Rothweiss Wettingen (Switzerland)

By winning this they have gained promotion for Scotland to the Trophy I competition next season for Watsonians but they themselves will play in the top tier tournament, the EHL.
