Our Men's 1s won 3-2 vs St Andrews University this afternoon and remain undefeated after the first five matches of the season . The NL leaders have now recorded 4 wins and 1 draw, scoring 15 goals and conceding only 6. Already this early in the season an impressive NINE players within the squad have scored at least one goal.

The game was played in heavy rain for the most part but both teams played fast attacking hockey throughout. Robbie Wallis gave us the lead with his 5th goal of the season but the students came roaring back and were 2-1 ahead at half-time. In the second half, George Jones bravely lunged forward to jab an equaliser and late on skipper James Morrison secured the win with a tippy at the post from a corner.

Our Ladies 1s had a tough match against the league's form side Western Wildcats who are joint top of the Women's Premiership after winning 10-0 at Countesswells. Without four key players from last season and Aimee McGrane out due to injury, our young squad found it hard to compete with the experience and confidence of the Glasgow side. Special mention should be made of goalie Morven Begg who had a lot to do and made a number of good saves. Photos from that match can be viewed in Media from the home page.
