
Representing Scotland, Anaïs Descamps, Ruby Hudson (both Gordonians) and Alex Waterson (GCW) were proudly rewarded with their first international caps playing in the Scotland Emerging Girls (U17) hockey team at the 6 Nations Tournament held in Tonbridge, Kent at Easter.
Their team delivered its best performance in 20 years, winning 3 out of 4 matches against top international opposition. They were only beaten by the mighty Dutch who finished in 1st place in the tournament, and what a result they had in defeating the England Girls !

Anaïs and Ruby played in the USA, England, and France games, whilst Alex played in the USA, France, and Netherlands games.
Anaïs and Ruby both play in our Ladies 1s team who recently won the Scotland National League division and have been promoted to Premiership league this coming year.
Anaïs (17), played in defence, both on the left and right, keeping the opposition firmly out of the D. She had some great sweeps up the wing and consistently solid block tackles, at one point appearing to be horizontal! Anaïs shared

Ruby (15), played in midfield, ensuring defence smoothly connected with attack. She had some amazing runs up the wing and showed her silky 3D skills to penetrate the D often.
