In Hradec Kralov, Czech Republic over Easter weekend

Morven Begg, our Ladies 1st team goalkeeper, is playing for Scotland Emerging Girls in a 4 Nations tournament with The Netherlands, Germany, and Czech Republic. Amongst the Scotland supporters are her Mum Andrea, and Dad Jason.

In both of the games played so far the goalkeeping duties have been shared so that both keepers played two quarters each.

Friday : Scotland Emerging Girls 1 - 0 Czech Republic
There was a great start to the Easter 4 Nations tournament for Scotland Emerging Girl as they beat the hosts Czech Republic 1-0. A hard fought and competitive game was edged by the Scots who looked to take the lead in the third quarter but missed a stroke. They wouldn’t be denied the win however, and Orla Miller secured the points with a strike in the final quarter.
(this report was extracted from the SH site). Andrea, Morven's Mum, said it was a good competitive match in which Scotland were technically the better team and deserved to win although they had to work hard right to the end to get it. She also said that Morven was delighted and relieved to start the tournament with a clean sheet.

Saturday: Scotland Emerging Girls 1 - 4 The Netherlands
Andrea's report "Another really good game of hockey with the goalkeepers each playing half of the match and both conceding 2 goals. Holland were a really strong team as expected with an excellent goalkeeper denying Scotland when they had chances to score."

Andrea has also sent us this video of a brilliant stick save by Morven vs The Netherlands.
