Goals by James Morrison, Rob Barr, & Adam Walker; and a superb penalty save by Jack Rathbone settle this five goal thriller.

This home game was played at Aberdeen Sports Village as Countesswells was closed for the holiday weekend. A super cross from the left wing by Adam early on was converted by a diving James to give us an early lead. St Andrews Uni then played extremely well in midfield and attack to equalise and then go 2-1 up on the stroke of half-time. Gordonians responded by winning some corners for Rob Barr to equalise with an expertly placed flick from the first one, and then draw a brilliant save over the top from the second. Player/Coach Adam Walker was always a threat on the left wing and a strong driving dribble to the near post gave him the chance to flick over the advancing keeper and into the net to put us 3-2 up.

The students were awarded a controversial penalty in the last minute of the game which was superbly saved by Jack Rathbone, bringing back memories for some of the supporters watching of his save in the Scottish U-16 Cup Final back in 2016.

In the only other game for the club today, Ladies 1s lost 0-10 in the Premiership to Edinburgh University at Peffermill.
