In 2018 our Men's 1sts were promoted back to NL1 at the first attempt and also won the Scottish Plate final at Glasgow Green defeating Stepps 5-1.

Aberdeen Standard Gordonians defeated Watsonians by 2-1 in a keenly contested and fast paced match in front of the largest home crowd seen at Countesswells for many years. It was the last match of the season and a title decider

The result meant that both teams finished the season on 49 points, each with 16 wins, 1 draw, and 1 defeat but Gordonians won the league with a better goal difference of 78 compared to Watsonians' 61. Their only defeats were to each other in the away fixtures.

Watsonians went ahead with an open play goal in the first half however the home side backed by the large home crowd overcame that half-time deficit by scoring twice early in the second half and successfully defended several Watsonians attacks to win the match 2-1.

Head Coach Graham Stuart ( Geeg) and Team Manager Mike Hill thanked all our members who came to support, as their backing was really appreciated by the team.

Scorers:
Watsonians - Roddy Gray
Gordonians - John Hamilton and Jack Collister
