Strong wins for the men and women at Pelican Park today.

Merlins 1st XI played their first league match at Pelican Park today against local team University of Aberdeen. Although the weather didn't hold up for them, they put in a hard shift to come out with their second win of the season. Although the first 10 minutes of the game had Coach Adam Walker frustrated, the girls picked up the pace, the skill and the tactics to start scoring some goals. Although many more goals could have been scored, with Merlins winning several short corners, the Uni goalkeeper and strong defensive short corner team ensured it would not be easy. Playing some new tactics yet again, the girls played some incredible hockey and finished the game with a 4-0 win. As the sun came out, Merlins joined a strong supporting crowd to cheer on Gordonian Mens 1st XI who continued their winning streak with a strong 6-1 win against Perthshire.
