Following the U-16 trial day in Glasgow on Sunday 11th December, Sam Hill has been selected to join the Scotland U-16 Boys Training squad. At the same time, George Jones who was in the Development squad has now been promoted to the full Training squad.

The Club would like to congratulate both on their selection, and the hard work they have put in with Scotland coaches and club and school coaches to take them to this level. Playing regularly at senior level with experienced Gordonians club members, and making the most of playing and being coached on our 2015 and 2016 Holland tours have also played a part. Both boys were in the Gordonians team which won the Scottish U-16 Cup in Edinburgh earlier this year.

We are sure they will continue to work hard with their coaches to give them the best chance of selection for the final U-16 playing squad next summer.
