Former Gordonian Jamie Wong has been selected to represent Scotland at this summers EuroHockey Championship II tournament in Glasgow from 6-12 August.

Former Gordonains Hockey Club player Jamie Wong has been selected to represent Scotland's senior men's team in the EuroHockey Championship II this summer, in a competition that brings international hockey to Glasgow. A great achievement for Jamie who started out as a youth player at the club some 10 years ago. In this time he has played at youth level for Scotland and now continues his international career in Scotland's most senior team.

Jamie left Aberdeen and Gordonains four years ago to study in Edinburgh, playing hockey for those four years at Edinburgh University from where he has now graduated. Next season he will continue his hockey development and make the move to Holland where he will line up for Dutch club Qui Vive alongside fellow Scotland international David Forsyth, whilst continuing his studies in engineering.

This tournament marks the end of an busy summer of hockey for Jamie and the senior men's side. The aim for the squad will be to secure promotion from the second tier of European hockey by making the final on Saturday 12th August at Glasgow Green. Finishing in the top two will see Scotland return to play in the EuroHockey Championships in two years time.
